Founded in 1988 by Henry J. Gonzalez, our company was built on decades of hands-on electrical experience and a deep commitment to quality, safety, and service.

Henry began his career as a maintenance electrician, eventually taking on a lead role overseeing electrical systems for a major pharmaceutical company. When the company relocated out of state, Henry made the choice to remain in Southern California, where he was raising his four young children—a decision that led him to establish his own electrical contracting business.

Alongside building a respected electrical company, Henry has long been dedicated to coaching youth sports, including serving as a coach at various local high schools. His passion for mentorship, teamwork, and discipline carries over into the way he leads projects—with precision, accountability, and a focus on excellence. As a long-time resident of the area, President of the South Gate Rotary Club, and advocate for youth development, Henry continues to make a lasting impact both on and off the job site.

Since launching the company, HJG Electric has grown into a trusted provider of commercial and industrial electrical services across Southern California. Our specialties include electrical consultation, project management, UL Field Evaluations, and Title 24 lighting compliance.
